Trindle Stores is a proper local shop — the place to pop in for your groceries, cards and coffee, and to stop for a chat. We care about good, honest food: fresh local produce, pantry staples and seasonal treats. And we love being useful to the village, whether that’s a last minute cheese board or a Christmas tree in December. Our café serves fresh coffee and pastries, and from Thursday 15 October our kitchen is serving breakfast and lunch, Thursday to Sunday. Do come and see us.
Meet our Head Chef
Abbie Hendren
Abbie grew up between London and Australia and has cooked in some of west London's best-loved kitchens, including The Glasshouse here in Kew, La Trompette in Chiswick and The Petersham in Richmond. She went on to lead the kitchens at Sam's Waterside and at Teal, Sally Abé's first solo restaurant, and represented London and the South East on Great British Menu 2026. Now she's cooking in our tipi in Kew: seasonal modern British food with a Mediterranean and Australian accent, made with produce from the Chiswick House Kitchen Garden, for breakfast and lunch, Thursday to Sunday.
